CONSTRUCTION
A-PRE Reinforced Plastic Rod Ends are completely molded via a proprietary
process.There are no secondary machining operations necessary.This
allows for an outstanding precision molded quality product.
MATERIAL
The Rod End is injection molded from self-lubricating fiber reinforced
nylon.The self-lubricating feature is good for wear resistance.The
fiber gives the rod end excellent tensile strength and the nylon
has good chemical and corrosion resistance making it ideal candidate
for harsh enviroments.
TENSILE
STRENGTH
A-PRE's rod ends are extremely strong.Preliminary testing on the
AFF-010, loaded to over 220 pounds, proved to be no problem.But
test them yourself, you'll be pleasantly surprized.
MOUNTING
Care should be taken in mounting.Over tightening could cause premature
failure.It is also recommended that a separate stop be incorporated
in the linkage system to eliminate the possibility of exceeding
the misalignment capability of the rod end.
TESTING
Sample parts should be tested under actual operating conditions
to ensure their ability to perform in your application.
